Who We Are

People-to-People (PTP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming war-torn communities through education, empowerment, and reconciliation. Born from the belief that peace begins with opportunity, we launched PTP Unity Academy - a free, mobile-first eLearning platform designed to equip refugees, displaced persons, and marginalized groups with the skills to rebuild their lives and communities.

To break cycles of poverty and conflict by providing accessible education that promotes:

1. Rooted in Local Expertise: Courses co-created with refugee artisans, Sudanese peace activists, and Ugandan educators.
2. Offline-First Accessibility: Learn anywhere, even without internet.
3. Accredited Impact: Certificates endorsed by employers and institutions like the Institute of Advanced Leadership Uganda.
4. Community-Driven: Partnering with NGOs to amplify grassroots knowledge.

Our Story

In 2023, after a decade of on-the-ground work in Uganda and Sudan, PTP recognized a critical gap: accessible, culturally relevant education for displaced populations. Traditional classrooms couldn’t reach those in remote camps or unstable regions. We built Unity Academy to bridge this divide - combining cutting-edge technology with hyper-local content. Today, learners like Amina, a Sudanese tailor, and Ahmed, a Sudanese solar technician, prove that education can turn survival into self-reliance.
